I live in Melbourne with my goofy brother.

While I was once passionate about dinosaurs and space travel as a kid, I discovered my love for writing when I was ten years old. My third-grade schoolteacher instructed us all to create a story for homework, and I can still remember the thrill of writing about a moose. What did the moose do? For the life of me, I cannot remember. However, since that day I have dreamed of creating my own stories and sending them out into the world.

 

The idea for Appendix Man first came along when I was sixteen years old, sitting in the back seat of the car on long family trips through the Australian bush. I'd stare out the window and wonder what it would be like if a superhero who lost their appendix ever had to come up against a villain who did every evil deed they could to save the environment. But then the hero couldn't be any ordinary superhero, right? They had to be so much more than that! They had to be hyper. No, scratch that. Mega!

 

And thus, Appendix Man was born.

 

Since that moment, creating Australia's first Megahero has been my passion. I would think about Daisy's adventures everywhere: on the train, during holidays, even sometimes while sitting in the school library. On the weekends I would explore Melbourne, pulling inspiration from the sights and sounds of the city for new scenes, scenarios and showdowns. After all, you never know where the inspiration for the next Megahero or Megavillain might come from!

 

I truly hope that you enjoy the journey as much as I have. So find a comfortable spot, kick your feet up, strap yourself in, and enjoy the ride!
